Today marks the third annual Supermarket Employee Day, a time for the food industry to recognize the special talents of employees throughout the food industry who work tirelessly to feed families and enrich lives.
In addition to celebrating the hardworking people who make up our industry, we want to pay special attention to the store managers who are the heartbeat of local supermarkets across the globe. These devoted leaders embody their company’s vision
and values as they guide their store team members, feed their communities and go above and beyond for retail success.
The FMI Store Manager Awards shine a spotlight on the dedicated and deserving store managers who bring their passion and talents to serve their store, employees and customers. Store Manager Award nominations are submitted by peers and food retail companies to recognize outstanding
managers who:
- Generate sales growth.
- Effectively communicate company and store goals and objectives.
- Demonstrate team leadership in their store/company.
- Provide exceptional customer service through in-store programs and improve community relations.
Today, we celebrate the 175 nominees who have been recognized by their employers as an exemplary and well-deserving store manager. Please join us in congratulating the 2023 Class of Store Manager Awards nominees:

In May, we will announce our Store Manager Awards finalists from this class of outstanding nominees, and on May 16, we will proclaim our winners for the 2023 Store Manager Awards in a live, virtual ceremony, generously sponsored by The Coca-Cola Company.
As we express our gratitude for this class of outstanding leaders, we shine a spotlight on all store managers and in-store grocery workers for their commitment to faithfully serve shoppers and keep the food industry strong and resilient.
Congratulations to all!
