CINCINNATI, OH – November 8, 2012 – The Safe Quality Food Institute (SQFI), a division of the Food Marketing Institute, today announced the second annual recipients of the 2012 Quality Achievement Awards, recognizing the expertise and dedication of three companies and one individual to the Safe Quality Food (SQF) program. The award was presented at the annual SQF International Conference held in Cincinnati.
Award winners included:
- Training Center of the Year – Guelph Food Technology Center (GFTC)
- Manufacturer of the Year – FONA International Incorporated (FONA)
- Certification Body of the Year – EAGLE Food Registrations Inc.
- Outstanding Achievement of the Year – Vanessa Lindsay of Gourmet Boutique
“These winners transformed the company culture, influenced leadership and sharpened focus to the importance of food safety and quality from the top to bottom,” said Robert Garfield, senior vice president of SQFI. “The SQF Quality Achievement Award Winners hold their companies to the same gold standard as our Code.”
The Quality Achievement Awards recognize the significant contributions individuals and organizations have made to achieve the SQF Mission of delivering consistent, globally recognized food safety and quality certification programs based on sound scientific principles, consistently applied across all industry sectors, and valued by all stakeholders.
