As a result of the partial government shutdown, states distributed all February SNAP benefits before Sunday, January 20th. Now, due to the early issuance for February, some states may be changing their March issuance schedule from their normal schedules.
For example, a state that normally staggers their issuance dates throughout the month may be choosing to issue the March benefits on the first of the month. FNS has compiled a complete list of states' issuance dates at the following link: SNAP March Issuance.
Note: As a result of the passage of H.R. 430 in January, appropriations
for the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) program are extended through June 30, 2019.
