The Food Marketing Institute (FMI)1 welcomes the opportunity to comment on the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA’s) proposed rule amending the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children (WIC) by adding requirements mandated by the Child Nutrition and WIC Reauthorization Act of 2004. 71 Fed. Reg. 43371 (August 1, 2006). FMI and its members fully support the important mission of the WIC program.
