Since 2012, FMI has conducted surveys and published reports to track the evolution of how food retailers are meeting the needs of shoppers who are seeking healthier lifestyles. This survey included not just food retailers, but also product suppliers, to demonstrate how the food industry is working to improve hunger, nutrition and health. One goal is to share this information with executive leaders, community partners, media, policy makers and the public to highlight the positive impact of our industry.
It is FMI’s hope that in addition to providing a status report of industry activities, this expanded report will also serve as a useful planning tool that will help members strategically grow and shape their companies’ health and well-being offerings in a meaningful way.
