The Federal Trade Commission’s (FTC) recent revisions to the Guides for the Use of Environmental Marketing (Green Guides) will have a significant impact on “green” marketing by food retailers and wholesalers. This free, special 60-minute webinar on January 8 at 11:00 am EST is designed especially to focus on food retailer marketing issues in light of the FTC’s revised Green Guides. Registration is now open for the webinar.
The webinar will cover revisions to the Green Guides affecting:
- General environmental benefit claims
- Certifications and seals
- Recyclable claims
- Compostable claims
- Degradable claims
- Recycled Content
It will discuss new guidance in the areas of:
- “Free of” claims
- Non-toxic claims
- Renewable materials claims
- Carbon offsets
The webinar will also highlight claims that the FTC declined to address, like “organic,” “natural,” and “sustainable,” and why.
