FSVP Webinar: What Should be Verified, Whether You're the Importer or NotTuesday, January 10, 2017 (1pm - 2pm US/Eastern) |
Sure You're Not the Importer? Even if You're Not, You'll Want to Verify
Take a minute and answer these three key questions to help determine if you could be considered the "Importer."
1. Who controls the finances of the imported food?
2. Who controls the agent?
3. Who controls the goods? Whose truck picks it up or in whose DC is the product stored?
Did you answer “me” to any of these questions? If so, better have your food safety team recheck your status regarding any products being imported. "Importers" must have a Foreign Supplier Verification program in place on all imported products, as enforcement begins in May 2017.
Do you have a FSVP program in place? Or more importantly, are you able to verify that your "Importer" has all the required records?
ReposiTrak will host a webinar with Dr. Hilary Thesmar, Vice President of FMI’s Food Safety Programs, on Tuesday, January 10 from 1:00-2:00 p.m. ET. Dr. Thesmar will help you identify whether you're the "Importer" and what's required to comply with FSMA's FSVP program. Importantly, if you are not the "Importer," you'll be able to use her checklist to verify that your "Importer" is in compliance.
Space is limited so reserve your free webinar seat today to get your preventive controls checklist.
