Webinar: Descriptive Designation of Raw Meat and Poultry Products Containing Added SolutionsWednesday, November 18, 2015 (11am - 12pm US/Eastern) |
The registration period for this meeting has ended.
Join USDA FSIS for a webinar as they discuss what is required as part of the final rule , “Descriptive Designation of Raw Meat and Poultry Products Containing Added Solutions.”
The final rule amends FSIS regulations to require the use of a descriptive designation as part of the product name on labels of raw meat and poultry products that contain added solutions and that do not meet a standard of identity. The final rule applies to both inspected establishments and retail stores that produce non-standardized product containing added solution. As an initial matter, the rule applies to non-standardized raw meat or poultry products to which solutions are added after post-evisceration processing by methods such as injection, marinating, tumbling, etc. This includes raw meat and poultry products containing added solutions that have been sliced or cut up and re-packaged at retail or another official establishment. The effective date of the final rule is January 1, 2016.
Registration Fees:These fees are available through 11/18/2015 |
