FMI Webinar: OSHA’s Hazard Communication Standard – What Retailers Need to KnowTuesday, July 30, 2013 (2pm - 3pm US/Eastern)FMI |
The registration period for this meeting has ended.
On Tuesday, July 30, at 2:00 pm EDT, FMI will be hosting a webinar on OSHA’s Hazard Communication Standard.
The webinar will be presented by Manesh Rath of the law firm of Keller and Heckman. In this program, Manesh will discuss OSHA’s Hazard Communication standard (HCS) and the critical changes brought on by the Globally Harmonized System (GHS) of classifying and labeling chemicals. Manesh will focus on the aspects of HCS that FMI members need to know. Attendees will develop a better understanding of the basics of OSHA’s adoption of GHS, compliance deadlines that FMI members will need to be aware of, and the steps that FMI members can take to prepare for the transition.
Manesh is a partner at Keller and Heckman in Washington, D.C. Manesh’s practice focuses upon representing employers nationwide in occupational safety and health law (OSHA) and in wage and hour, employment, and labor laws. Manesh has co-authored books on OSHA law, wage and hour law, and employment laws, has been interviewed in publications like the Wall Street Journal, Entrepreneur Magazine, and Smart Money Magazine, and on television and radio news, including PBS’s Nightly Business Report and C-SPAN.
